Forests / hiking

There is so much to be discovered along the hiking trails. A diversity of wildlife can be appreciated.

Apart from birds and butterflies it is not uncommon to catch a glimpse of a deer, rabbit, civet or squirrel. Don’t disturb the salamanders and newts!

It also shelters a remarkable selection of mushrooms, the most celebrated being the girolle and Bordeaux cep.

Hunting is very popular. In the tree-top hides, the hunters patiently wait for the wood pigeons. In all conviviality, they share their love of good food and Graves wine.
