Château de La Brède

Vue extérieure du château
Here was born Charles Louis de Secondat, baron of La Brède and of Montesquieu. The building of this testimony of feudalism began in 1306 on the grounds of an older chateau. Despite several alterations made in the following centuries, the monument has retained the characteristics of a fortress.
Outside, a wide alleyway crosses the English-style gardens.
